[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 9387K Speedy Hire PLC 25 July 2011 \n \n\n25 July 2011\n \nSpeedy Hire PLC announces appointment of new Group Finance Director\nSpeedy Hire PLC \"Speedy\" is pleased to announce the appointment of Lynn Krige to the Board as Group Finance Director with effect from 1 September 2011. \nLynn was until recently Group Finance Director of John Laing plc (since 2007). Prior to this she held a number of roles during her 12 years at John Laing plc including that of Group Financial Controller. Lynn started her career at Deloitte in South Africa after qualifying as a Chartered Accountant.\nLynn will replace Justin Read, who has resigned from the position of Group Finance Director of the Company with effect from 26 August 2011. Justin leaves the Board with its thanks for his contribution at Speedy and its best wishes for the future. Owing to a long standing commitment Lynn will begin her salaried role on 1 October 2011, with Speedy's Financial Controller Ian Scapens assuming responsibility for all finance functions in the interim period. \n \nSpeedy confirms that there are no other disclosures to be made in respect of Lynn Krige, pursuant to paragraph 9.6.13 of the Listing Rules.\nCommenting on the new appointment, Steve Corcoran, Chief Executive, said: \"On behalf of the Company, I am delighted to welcome Lynn to the Board.
