(TSX:SDI) today\nannounced that Mr. Anthony Bihl has been appointed to the Company's Board of\nDirectors.\n\n\n"As the former CEO of Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics, a\ncombination of the former Bayer Diagnostics and Diagnostic Products\nCorporation, Mr. Bihl will be a valuable addition to our Board," said Dr. Paul\nWalker, President and CEO of Spectral Diagnostics. "Mr. Bihl is a 25 year\nveteran in the field of diagnostics and is well-suited to advise Spectral on\nour global commercialization strategy of the EAA(TM) Endotoxin Activity Assay,\nthe only FDA cleared diagnostic for the measurement of endotoxin."\n\n\nMr. Bihl has more than 25 years of experience with diagnostic products,\nhaving held leadership roles in global healthcare businesses, including a\nbroad base of operational and executive positions in large and medium\nmultinational healthcare firms. Before his role as CEO of Siemens Medical\nSolutions Diagnostics, Mr. Bihl served in senior leadership roles at Bayer\nHealthcare Diagnostics, having held the roles of Senior VP of Finance and\nAdministration and President, responsible for all aspects of this worldwide\nbusiness Division. Prior to his tenure at Bayer, Mr. Bihl gained extensive\noperational experience through more than 20 years at E.I. DuPont Inc. His\nfinal role at DuPont was as Plant Manager for medical instrument\nmanufacturing.\n\n\nMr. Bihl received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from\nPennsylvania State University, and is a member of the Board of Directors for\nAdnavance Technologies Inc.\n\n\nAbout Spectral Diagnostics\n\n\nSpectral is a developer of innovative technologies for comprehensive\ndisease management.
