(TSX:SDI) today\nannounced that new findings were presented showing a mortality reduction in\nendotoxemic patients through the combined use of Spectral's EAA(TM) Endotoxin\nActivity Assay, the only FDA cleared diagnostic for the measurement of\nendotoxin, and Toray Medical Company's Toraymyxin(TM) column, a blood\npurification device that absorbs endotoxin from the bloodstream. The findings\nwill be presented in a symposium entitled "Measuring and targeting endotoxin\nin critical illness - from theory to practice" at the 28th International\nSymposium on Intensive Care and Emergency Medicine. The conference takes place\nin Brussels, Belgium from March 18-21, 2008 and focuses on developments in\nresearch, therapy, and management of critically ill patients.\n\n\n"Our unique EAA(TM) diagnostic offers critical care physicians valuable\ninformation on the diagnosis of endotoxemia.
