("SONIC" or\n"the Company"; TSX-V:SNV) and Quantum Murray LP ("Quantum Murray"; an\noperating partnership of Newport Partners Income Fund TSX:NPF.UN-T) announced\ntoday that they have now closed the Agreement of Lease, Acquisition and\nLicense to deploy the Company's Sonic Treatment System for the remediation of\nPCB contaminated soils within Canada, previously-announced on October 11th,\n2007.\n\n\nClosing this agreement allows Sonic to focus on exploiting its other\napplications in the energy and industrial verticals whilst established\noperating partners help provide license revenues.\n\n\nAbout SONIC\n\n\nSONIC develops and markets Sonoprocess(TM) technologies based on the\nCompany's core sonic generator technology in the energy, environmental and\nindustrial sectors. The Sonic Treatment System for the remediation of PCB\ncontaminated sites and wastes has been licenced internationally. Sonic also\nhas a joint venture with PetroSonic Energy Systems Inc. and recently entered\ninto a collaboration agreement with Shell Canada Energy Ltd. for the\ndevelopment of improved oil sands processes.
