Sonic appoints new corporate consultants

("SONIC" or\n"the Company") today announced that the Company has appointed Axemen Resource\nCapital Ltd., as consultants (the "Consultant") for business development,\ncorporate structure and related issues.\n\n\nThe role of the Consultant shall include advice and services to the\nCompany on any and all matters which may impact the corporate structure and\ngrowth of the Company including, but not limited to researching, identifying\nand evaluating merger and acquisition candidates and other business\ndevelopment opportunities. The Consultants will receive 1,000,000 options to\npurchase common shares in the Company exercisable at $0.10 per share for a\nterm of five years.\n\n\nAbout SONIC\n\n\nSONIC develops advanced processes which utilize the Company's sonic\nreactor technology. The Company is currently developing several such processes\nthrough operating joint ventures and subsidiaries, including PetroSonic Energy\nSystems Inc. for the upgrading of heavy oil. PetroSonic is a wholly owned\nsubsidiary of SONIC and the exclusive licensee of a heavy oil upgrading\nprocess utilizing proprietary processes and sonic reactor technology developed\nand owned by SONIC.
