Re Directorate

Solid State Supplies PLC 15 January 2001 Jeff Biggs, a director, will be leaving the company with effect from the end of January 2001 to take up employment with one of the company's franchisors, LEA. In the interim statement published in November 2000 it was announced that the company was planning to establish an operation in France. As a result of Jeff Bigg's departure it has now been decided not to pursue the expansion into France at the present time. It is not anticipated that these developments will have any material impact on the results for the current year.
