Changes Made to Distribution Channels

Solid State Supplies PLC 20 December 1999 As a result of Texas Instruments' purchase of Unitrode and their subsequent decision to channel distribution through the existing Texas Instruments' distributor network, Solid State Supplies will cease to be a franchised distributor for Unitrode from 31st January 2000. Following Micrel Semiconductor's purchase of Synergy Semiconductor, Solid State Supplies will now hold a franchise for Synergy in addition to the Micrel range with immediate effect. Solid State Supplies can also announce the signing of a franchise agreement with Altima Communications Inc. Unitrode are manufacturers of analogue products whilst both Synergy and Altima offer digital products for the fast growing Telecommunications and Internet infrastructure market, an area on which Solid State Supplies is focusing.
