Allen, Q.C., is pleased to\nannounce the addition of two members to the Board of Directors, which has been\nexpanded to six directors. The new directors, Hans Fredrikson and Dr. Charles\nStone, bring significant technology development expertise to the Company: Dr.\nStone is a former Vice President of Research and Development with Ballard\nPower Systems and Mr. Fredrikson brings experience from SAAB Aerospace and the\nBoeing Company.\n\n\nFinavera Renewables CEO Jason Bak said, "These two exciting additions to\nour board of directors bring a significant amount of expertise to the Company.\nCharles Stone brings critical technology development experience from Ballard\nPower Systems, where he was responsible for driving fuel cell technology into\ncommercial products. Hans Fredrikson, a founder of the company that originally\ndeveloped our AquaBuOY wave energy technology, brings significant ocean energy\nknowledge to the board. That knowledge and his experience with Boeing will\nprovide increased depth to the board."\n\n\nDr. Charles Stone\n\n\nDr. Charles Stone is a world renowned expert in proton exchange membrane\nfuel cell technology. He began his career with Ballard Power Systems in 1990\nas a research scientist after completing his PhD at the University of British\nColumbia. Charles became Ballard's Vice President of Research & Development in\n2002. In this role, he had overall responsibility for driving fuel cell\ntechnology into products, in addition to executive responsibility for\nintellectual property. Charles was a member of Ballard's executive team from\n2002, taking on the role as the executive most responsible for technology\ninterface to strategic partners DaimlerChrysler, Ford, and EBARA Research in\nJapan. Charles left Ballard in March 2007 to start his own consulting firm in\nthe area of green energy. Charles has made keynote presentations at virtually\nall major fuel cell conferences, publishing numerous scientific papers in\naddition to being an inventor on 15 issued US patents.\n\n\nHans Fredrikson\n\n\nMr. Fredrikson was trained and educated in Sweden, with studies in\nIndustrial Engineering/Management and Mechanical Engineering.
