('Finavera Renewables' or the 'Company') (TSX-V: FVR) announces the Company has received the approval of the TSX\n Venture Exchange regarding the consolidation of its issued common\n shares on the basis of ten old shares for one new share. The\n consolidation was approved by shareholders on September 15, 2010.\n Effective at the opening of trading on February 8th, 2011, the Company's common shares will begin trading on the Exchange\n on a consolidated basis. The Company's trading symbol "FVR" will not\n change. On a post-consolidated basis, there will be 30,407,764 common\n shares issued and outstanding. The Company also announces that it has\n changed its name to Finavera Wind Energy, Inc.\n\n\nFinavera Renewables CEO Jason Bak said, "Our new name represents our\n singular focus on becoming the premier publically traded wind energy\n developer in North America.  We have carried out this share\n consolidation in order to improve the attractiveness of our shares to a\n broader range of institutional and retail investors.
