[{"type":"text","content":"\n Smiths News PLC\n30 August 2007\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n Smiths News PLC\n\n\n Pre close Trading Update\n\n\nSmiths News PLC today issues a trading update ahead of its results for the full\nyear ending 31 August 2007, which will be announced on 18 October 2007.\n\n\nTrading in the current year is in line with the Board's expectations.\n\n\nTotal sales have increased year on year. The trend of newspaper cover price\nincreases more than offsetting volume declines has continued.
