(OTCQB:SMME) –\n SmartMetric the developer of the biometric credit and Cyber/Access/Identity multi-function security card is now protected by five newly issued patents covering biometric fingerprint cards. We are excited to announce the issuance of these new patents that give a tremendous protection for the years and dollars we have invested in developing our breakthrough biometric card technology, SmartMetric’s President & CEO said today from the company’s stand at the Money 20/20 Conference and Exhibition. “SmartMetric is showing its biometric credit card thin cards at today’s Money 20/20 Conference.  After years of hard work and a great deal of resources poured into our research and development we are more than pleased to be able to show the world our leading edge card for both the banking world and the physical, logical, cyber and identity security world,” said Chaya Hendrick. Keeping your biometric identity safe is at the center of the design of the SmartMetric biometric card.  At no time does a card holder's fingerprint leave the card.  A person’s fingerprint is stored inside the card and matching of the person's fingerprint is done on the card itself.  This was a central design requirement of the SmartMetric biometric card solution that necessitated SmartMetric to create a self-powered inside the card, fully functional fingerprint scanner.  Also, so that the card could be used at ATMs and POS (Point Of Sale) card readers the SmartMetric development team created an on card miniature power management system that recharges the card as it is being used in card readers. Without a rechargeable battery and sophisticated intelligent power management system inside the card, a fingerprint biometric card would not last longer than a few months according to SmartMetric’s President and CEO, Chaya Hendrick. SmartMetric will be showing both its Biometric Credit Card along with its Cyber and Access Security Card in the main exhibition hall, booth 339 at the Money 20/20 Conference today through to Wednesday this week.
