About BNET
Utilizing existing, secure global delivery infrastructure, the Business Internet (BNET) is a newly structured and uniform network separate from - but compatible with - the existing Internet delivery infrastructure. BNET combines the world's most advanced security technologies and assures protection to levels unattainable through any Internet add-on, firewall or patch solution.
Set to launch in early 2003, BNET is supported by some of the world's leading IT and technology companies. Its operating system was developed by Sun Microsystems and is the world's only EAL4 (common criteria) security certified operating system. This base trusted platform is even further enhanced through the advanced trusted systems and applications developed at Lockheed Martin, Trusted Systems Laboratories, and Plenar.
The BNET global business network will offer total security to its subscribers. The existing Internet is not and is unlikely to ever be secure. BNET will provide an Internet alternative to business that is secure, hacker-proof and virus free. In securing any subscriber's valuable and confidential data and that of their clients, patients, partners and/or shareholders - BNET can provide protection from potential legal liability and/or damage actions that could otherwise arise through data or information being compromised on the insecure Internet.
About TIE Technologies
TIE Technologies has the BNET commercialization rights for the USA and is also responsible for all global BNET liaison, project management, policy and compliance, technology deployment and all licensee, joint venture, partner and affiliate relationships.
