(Nasdaq: BIOM) (TSX: BRA) today\nannounced that Dr. Alex McPherson has stepped down from the Company's Board.\nBiomira's Corporate Governance Guidelines require non-independent\ndirectors to tender their resignation from the Board upon their resignation,\nremoval or retirement as an Officer of the Company. Dr. McPherson stepped down\nas President and CEO on May 17, 2006 and tendered his resignation to the\nCorporate Governance Committee Chair shortly thereafter.
