Biomira(R) to present at BIO 2005 business forum

EDMONTON, June 17 /CNW/ - Biomira Inc. (Nasdaq:BIOM) (TSX:BRA) a
biotechnology company specializing in the development of therapeutic cancer
vaccines and innovative therapeutic approaches to cancer management, announced
today that it will be presenting at the BIO 2005 Business Forum on June 22 at
11:00 am ET in Hall D, Room E at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. Robert
Aubrey, Biomira's Vice President of Marketing and Business Development will
present an overview of partnering opportunities available with Biomira.
Attending the 2005 Annual International Convention in Philadelphia will be
biotechnology executives, scientists, policy-makers and journalists.
This Forum will be the first opportunity for Biomira to highlight at an
international conference, partnering opportunities for its third generation
vaccine, BGLP40, a completely synthetic MUC1-based multiple-target liposomal
cancer vaccine. This vaccine, which may provide benefit in several cancer
indications, incorporates the best elements from Biomira's earlier vaccine
technology and was developed in-house. The Company now seeks a collaborator to
assist in clinical development through to commercialization.
