(Nasdaq: SBGI), today announced that the company has awarded scholarships to 15 university students as a part of its annual Diversity Scholarship program.\n\n\nHaving provided more than $315,000 in tuition assistance since 2013, the annual Sinclair Broadcast Group Diversity Scholarship aims to invest in the future of the broadcast industry and help students from diverse backgrounds, who reflect Sinclair’s audiences nationwide, complete their education and pursue careers in local journalism, digital storytelling, and marketing.\n\n\nThis year, the Sinclair Broadcast Group Diversity Scholarship awarded a total of $60,500 to the following students:\n\n\n\nNicole Aponte - Syracuse University\n\n\n\nDerryl Barnes Jr. - University of Miami\n\n\n\nYaw Bonsu - Hofstra University\n\n\n\nLucciana Choueiry - Texas State University\n\n\n\nNoah Cornelius - Appalachian State University\n\n\n\nCristian Crosse - New Mexico State University\n\n\n\nJuhi Doshi - Chapman University\n\n\n\nChloe Franklin - Elon University\n\n\n\nEthan Huang - University of Southern California\n\n\n\nRyann Jones - Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University\n\n\n\nImara Moore - Howard University\n\n\n\nGavin Nguyen - Chapman University\n\n\n\nNikiah Perry - Belmont University\n\n\n\nRaven Ratliff - Florida International University\n\n\n\nDavid Victor - Fresno State\n\n\n\n“Sinclair is committed to nurturing young talent and increasing diversity in local media.
