The initiative, which begins today, will run through December 25.\n\n\nThrough financial contributions, viewers can help provide access to meals for members of their local communities. All donations will directly benefit the Feeding America food bank serving the donor’s local area, determined by the ZIP code associated with their method of payment.\n\n\nThe campaign will be supported by a $25,000 donation from Sinclair.\n\n\nThrough Feeding America, every $1 dollar donated helps provide at least 10 meals secured by Feeding America on behalf of local partner food banks.\n\n\nSinclair Cares: Fill the Food Banks will be supported through news coverage and public service campaigns across the company’s owned and/or operated television stations.\n\n\n“The holiday season can be especially difficult for families facing food insecurity.
