[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nTHUNDER BAY, ON, Dec. 13 /CNW/ - Benton Resources Corp. ("Benton" or the\n"Company") is pleased to announce the results from the first 6 of 15 diamond\ndrill holes completed on the Claw Lake mineralized zone, located on the\nnorthern portion of the Bamoos area of the Company's 100% owned Bermuda\nProperty.\n\n\nResults from these 6 drill holes continue to demonstrate potential that\nthe Bermuda project may host significant copper (Cu) and platinum group metals\n(PGM) mineralization. Diamond drill hole CL-07-13, drilled 1200m north of the\nMarathon deposit, intersected multiple zones of significant PGM and Cu\nmineralization including 32.0m grading 1.18gpt TPM (Total Precious Metal (equal sign)\nplatinum (Pt) + palladium (Pd) + gold (Au)) with 0.39% Cu. A separate\nintercept from this same hole returned 1.69gpt TPM with 0.28% Cu over 17.0\nmetres.\n\n\nThese drill results demonstrate similar grades and thicknesses to that of\nthe Marathon deposit located to the south which now has an in-pit resource of\n3.54 million oz TPM and 585 million pounds of Copper (MAR P.R November 29,\n2007). Results for the remaining 9 drill holes will be released as they are\nreceived.\n\n\nFollowing is a table of significant drill hole results:\n\n\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------\n Bermuda - Claw Lake Drill Results\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------\n Drill\nDRILL HOLE From To Interval TPM Au Pt Pd Cu\n (m) (m) (m) (gpt) (gpt) (gpt) (gpt) (%)\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------\nCL-07-01 no significant results\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------\nCL-07-02 no significant results\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------\nCL-07-03 178.5 181.5 3.0 0.94 0.20 0.26 0.48 0.19\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------\n 198.0 199.5 1.5 1.08 0.17 0.26 0.65 0.05\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------\nCL-07-04 85.0 86.5 1.5 3.97 0.30 0.49 3.18 0.30\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------\n 115.8 117.5 1.8 1.19 0.18 0.24 0.77 0.24\n-------------------------------------------------------------------------\nCL-07-05 40.5 43.5 3.0 1.70 0.15 0.19...
