Benton and Stillwater Commence Drilling on Goodchild Nickel Project

Thunder Bay, Ontario CANADA, October 01, 2008 /FSC/ - Benton Resources Corp. (BTC - TSX Venture, BNRJF - OTCBB_Pink_Sheets), is pleased to report that drilling has commenced on the Goodchild nickel project located near Marathon, Ontario where Stillwater Mining Company is earning into the property through a Participation Agreement with Benton. This first phase program will consist of approximately 2000m of diamond drilling to test numerous conductive responses delineated by airborne and ground geophysics near and along strike from high grade surface nickel showings.

Results of the drilling will be released as they are received and compiled.
