[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n/NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO US WIRE SERVICES OR FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE\n UNITED STATES OF AMERICA/\n\n\nHALIFAX, Aug. 22, 2013 /CNW/ - Oceanus is pleased to announce that\n geological mapping and channel sampling have confirmed the occurrence\n of high grade gold and silver mineralization at the La Fortuna and the\n Cerro del Sol zones on the La Lajita property in Durango, Mexico. \n Highlighted assay results include the following;\n\n\n8.53 g/t gold and 31.7 g/t silver over a length of 12 meters from channel sample OLL-011 located at the La Fortuna Zone.\n\n\n5.41 g/t gold and 113.0 g/t silver over a length of 6 meters from channel sample OLL-108 located at the La Fortuna Zone.\n\n\nEpithermal, low sulphidation gold and silver associated with hematite\n and silica alteration is hosted along NNW-SSW trending fault/breccia\n structures cutting tuffs and ignimbrites of the Upper Volcanic Series\n over a strike length of 2 km.  The mineralization is exposed on\n surface, in small scale workings and in the underground development and\n stopes at the Mina la Guadalupe deposit.\n\n\nThe geological mapping and channel sampling program completed by Oceanus\n has confirmed the presence of seven (7) gold zones along the fault\n system including from north to south; La Fortuna, Esperanza, Santo\n Nino, Dos Hermanos, Mina la Guadalupe, Las Ratones and the Cerro del\n Sol.\n\n\nMapping and sampling of the underground workings at the Mina la\n Guadalupe has confirmed the relationship between high grade gold and\n silver mineralization associated with green quartz veins along the\n hanging wall side of the fault breccia and the overall dip of the\n structure.\n\n\nThe last phase of the summer 2013 exploration program is focused on\n establishing the depth to the contact with andesitic rocks of the Lower\n Volcanic Complex.  The majority of the large multi-million ounce gold\n and silver deposits in the Sierra Madre i.e. Ocampo, Pinos Altos,\n Tayoltita occur at or below this contact.\n\n\n\n\n\n2013 La Lajita OLL Channel Sample Intersections\n\n\nZones\n\n\nChannel #\n\n\nComment\n\n\nFrom (m)\n\n\nTo (m)\n\n\nLength (m)\n\n\nAu (g/t)\n\n\nAg (g/t)\n\n\nEqAu50** (g/t)\n\n\nLa Fortuna\n\n\nOLL-011\n\n\n \n\n\n0.0\n\n\n12.0\n\n\n12.0\n\n\n8.53\n\n\n31.7\n\n\n9.16\n\n\n \n\n\n \n\n\nincluding\n\n\n2.0\n\n\n10.0\...
