Twin Canyon hosts\ndisseminated gold mineralization in sandstone and was the site of a\nsmall mining operation dating back to the 1950s.\n \n \n \n \n The Company launched the program on the\nbasis of Alianza's successful first field program at Twin Canyon.\nHighlights of that work included expansion of the property to over\nfour square kilometres, definition of a large gold in soil anomaly\nranging from 20 - 460 ppb gold and measuring over 1,900 metres long by\n100 metres wide, and the discovery of new areas of gold mineralization\nthrough limited prospecting. Results include 0.208 g/t gold in a grab\nsample of bitumen-spotted altered Junction Creek Sandstone.\n \n \n \n \n The current program will consist of\ndetailed prospecting and geological mapping within areas of gold soil\nanomalies, expansion of the BLEG soil sampling campaign to cover the\nprospective host Junction Creek sandstone unit throughout the\nproperty, and detailed structural mapping to determine the primary\ncontrols focusing gold mineralization.\n \n \n \n \n \"We are excited to be back in the\nfield at Twin Canyon expanding our soil coverage to encompass the area\nof anomalous gold results in both rocks and soils that is in excess of\n3.2 square kilometres,\" stated Jason Weber, P.Geo., President and\nCEO of Alianza. \"A key component of the program is gaining an\nunderstanding of structural controls, through mapping across the\nstructural antiform that hosts the past-producing Charlene Mine,\nwithin this potentially large gold mineralizing system.\"\n \n \n \n \n Gold mineralization occurs at Twin\nCanyon in areas where the host sandstone unit is bleached and spotted\nwith bitumen, with small amounts of limonite after pyrite. Optical and\nmicroprobe work carried out on mineralized samples indicate a direct\ngold - bitumen association raising the...
