(TSX-V: SVB), a leading digital\nentertainment company, today announced the appointment of Mr. Jeffery Friedman\nas Chairman of the company's board of directors. SilverBirch also announced\nthe appointment today of two new directors, Mr. Roger Rosmus and Mr. Sam Ho,\nboth of whom have worked closely with the company and have extensive\nbackgrounds in financing, capital markets, advanced technology and Massive\nMultiplayer Online (MMO) games.\n\n\nMr. Friedman, a current board member, is an experienced executive with\nsenior-level experience in corporate finance, management and governance. He\nreplaces outgoing Chairman Mr. Terence M. Donnelly, who has resigned from the\nboard.\n\n\nMr. Friedman is the COO of Edgemere Capital. Prior to this role, he was\nthe President and CEO of auto parts manufacturer Depco International Inc. that\nhad $125 million in annual revenues and 800 employees, and which was sold to\nMartinrea International. Mr. Friedman is a lawyer by training with expertise\nin corporate governance. He has held senior executive roles at advanced\ntechnology companies Minacs and Unique Broadband Systems. He also previously\nserved as a director of Motivus Inc., a publicly traded company listed on the\nTSX Venture Exchange.\n\n\nMr. Rosmus is the co-founder and President of investment bank Aberdeen\nGould Capital Markets, where Mr. Ho is also a co-founder and Partner. They\nreplace Mr. Donnelly and Mr. Ian Halliday, who has also resigned from the\nboard. All of the changes are effective immediately.\n\n\nMr. Rosmus has over 12 years of investment banking experience in the\npublic and private sectors. He has acted as lead on many mergers, acquisitions\nand corporate financings in a wide variety of industries. Previously, Mr.\nRosmus has co-owned and managed a number of successful businesses in Canada.\nHe holds a MBA from the Ivey School of Business.\n\n\nMr. Ho, with over 6 years of corporate finance experience, currently\nfocuses on investment banking in his role at Aberdeen Gould Capital Markets.\nHe has worked at leading Canadian independent investment dealers.
