[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 9856J Edenville Energy PLC 19 June 2014 \n\n \n19 June 2014\nEdenville Energy plc\n('Edenville' or 'the Company')\nPlacing & Issue of Equity \nEdenville Energy plc (AIM:EDL), the African coal exploration and development company, today announces it has successfully completed a placing of 416,666,666 new ordinary shares (the \"Placing Shares\") at a price of 0.06p raising gross proceeds of GBP 0.25 million (the \"Placing\"). \nApplication will be made for the Placing Shares to be admitted to trading on AIM (\"Admission\"). It is expected that Admission will become effective on or around 23 June 2014. Following this issue of equity, the issued share capital of the Company will be 6,686,921,206. The Placing Shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary shares.\nIn accordance with the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules, the Company hereby announces that it has 6,686,921,206 ordinary shares of 0.02p each in issue, each share carrying the right to one vote. The Company does not hold any ordinary shares in treasury.\nThe above figure of 6,686,921,206 ordinary shares may be used by shareholders in the Company as the denominator for the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interest in, the share capital of the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.\nSally Schofield, Chairman of Edenville, said:\n\"This modest placing is demand-led following the recent expression of interest from a multi-national conglomerate company in our Rukwa Coal-to-Power Project in Tanzania.
