Severfield-Rowen PLC 18 April 2002 Thursday 18 April 2002 SEVERFIELD-ROWEN PLC Appointment of Non-executive Director Severfield-Rowen plc, the UK's largest structural steel group, announces the appointment of a new independent Non-Executive Director to the Group's Board. David Ridley (FRICS), aged 59, joins the Board with immediate effect. He previously held the Chairmanship of Faithful and Gould, the quantity surveyor and cost management consultants, which form part of the WS Atkins Group of companies. Throughout his career Mr. Ridley has built up a strength, range of experience and list of contacts within the construction sector. Some of the notable areas in which he has operated include; transportation and infrastructure, defence, retail, petroleum and pharmaceuticals. It is confirmed, pursuant to the Listing Rules, that David Ridley does not have any disclosure to be made under paragraph 6.F.2 (b) to (g), inclusive, of the Listing Rules.
