[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\n\nCampaign kicks off September 29th, 2012 at Shoppers Drug Mart stores\n across the country\n\n\nTORONTO, Sept. 27, 2012 /CNW/ - In support of Shoppers Drug Mart's\n ongoing commitment to women's health, the Company and its\n Associate-owners announced today that the 11th annual Tree of Life campaign will run from September 29th, 2012 to October 26th, 2012.  The national, four-week campaign has raised more than $17\n million dollars in the past, with the projected goal of $2.3 million\n this year to help fund local women's charities across the country.\n\n\nThe campaign provides customers with the opportunity to purchase and\n personalize a \"Tree of Life\" icon; a \"leaf\" for a loonie, a \"butterfly\"\n for $5, an \"acorn\" for $10 and a \"cardinal\" for $50.  The icons are\n prominently displayed on the Tree of Life in all participating stores\n and 100 percent of campaign proceeds are donated to local women's\n health organizations.\n\n\n\"National in scope, yet locally-based, the annual Tree of Life campaign\n offers patients, customers and employees the opportunity to donate\n directly to the organizations that make a difference to women's health\n in their own communities,\" said Lisa Gibbs, Manager, Community\n Investment, Shoppers Drug Mart.  \"With the support of our\n Associate-owners, their store teams, our employees and customers, we\n are confident that we will reach our goal of raising $2.3 million to\n improve the health of women across Canada.\"\n\n\nThe Tree of Life campaign is one of the leading partnership programs of\n the Shoppers Drug Mart WOMEN platform - the Company's commitment to\n improving the health of Canadian women in body, mind and spirit. \n Shoppers Drug Mart Associate-owners play an active role within their\n communities, not only providing trusted healthcare advice and services,\n but also getting to know their patients.
