One hundred percent of the proceeds from this year's campaign will benefit local women's health organizations and charities in the communities served by the Company's more than 1,159 Shoppers Drug Mart/Pharmaprix stores across Canada.\"With seven years of successful campaigns and over $11 million raised, the funds from the Tree of Life campaign have provided hundreds of local health charities across the country with essential program funding,\" said Lisa Gibbs, Manager, Community Investment, Shoppers Drug Mart. \"We believe it is possible to reach our goal of raising $2.2 million to improve the lives of women and their families across Canada through the combined efforts of our Pharmacist-owners and their teams at store-level, our employees and customers.\"Held each autumn, the Tree of Life campaign gives customers the opportunity to purchase and personalize their own \"leaf\" for a loonie, \"maple leaf\" for $5, or an \"apple\" for $50. Each \"leaf\" and \"apple\" is then attached to a Tree of Life which is prominently displayed in all participating stores. This year's campaign will run from September 26th until October 16th.Shoppers Drug Mart Pharmacist-owners and their pharmacy teams take an active role in their communities, providing trusted healthcare advice and services. Each Pharmacist-owner has personally selected a local women's health organization that resonates best with their community.
