During the second quarter of 2011,\n total prescription counts increased 4.1% compared to the same period\n last year and were up 4.3% on a same-store basis.  The decrease in\n average prescription value can be attributed to a reduction in generic\n prescription reimbursement rates, the result of recently implemented\n drug system reform initiatives in certain jurisdictions of Canada,\n principally Ontario, British Columbia, Alberta and Québec, combined\n with increasing generic prescription utilization rates.  Generic\n molecules represented 56.2% of prescriptions dispensed in the second\n quarter of 2011 compared to 52.5% of...
