John\n , who is currently the Senior\n \n \n Independent Director and Chair of the Audit Committee\n , has been on the Board since\n \n \n September 2016\n . He will assume the role of Chair when Sir Roy stands down at the Annual\n \n \n General Meeting in Spring 2021.\n \n \n \n \n \n The Nomination Committee\n , led by Lynne Peacock, managed the search, which included\n \n \n external candidates, and followed a detailed succession planning process which has resulted in\n \n \n John Rishton's selection as the Company's next Chair. \n \n \n \n \n \n John Rishton's experience includes: CEO of Rolls-Royce plc from 2011 to 2015, CEO and\n \n \n President of Royal Ahold NV (and prior to that, its CFO) and CFO of British Airways plc. He is\n \n \n currently Chair of Serco's Audit Committee and Senior Independent Director\n . John serves\n \n \n as \n a Non-executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Unilever plc, a Non-executive\n \n \n Director and Chair of the Audit Committee of Informa plc and\n a Non- executive Director of\n \n \n Associated British Ports.
