[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 3344P SPDI Secure Property Dev&Inv PLC 01 October 2013  \n \n\n1 October 2013\nSECURE PROPERTY Development & Investment\n \n(\"the Company\" or \"SECURE\")\n \nAPPOINTMENT OF SPECIAL ADVISER\n \nSECURE PROPERTY Development & Investment plc (AIM: SPDI), a South Eastern European focused property and investment company, today announces the appointment of Ned Goodman as special adviser to its Board.\n \nNed Goodman is the founder of the Dundee Group of Companies in Canada and President and CEO of the Dundee Corporation, an independent publicly traded Canadian asset management company which is listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange and focuses primarily on investments in real assets, namely mining, real estate and infrastructure, as well as the agricultural sector. Mr. Goodman founded the Dundee Group in 1991, which, under his leadership, became a $50 billion mutual fund entity. The Dundee Group has extensive exposure to North American and European real estate, while it also has exposure to the South East European markets, mostly in the mining sector.\n \nPrior to the Dundee Group, Mr. Goodman founded the first exploration flow-through partnership, CMP Group, which has raised almost $5 billion to help companies explore and develop mining and petroleum companies. Moreover, in 1967 he co-founded Beutel, Goodman and Company Ltd. which established a reputation as a \"go-to\" destination for mining and oil investors.  Mr. Goodman has also played important role in the development of several other companies, such as International Corona and Kinross Gold. \nMr. Goodman is Chancellor of Brock University and founder of the Goodman Institute of Investment Management at Concordia University.  In addition, he has received numerous distinctions, such as the Morningstar Investment Career Achievement in 2005 and Fraser Institute's T.
