[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\nTrading Symbols: \nTSX: SEA            \nNYSE: SA   \n\n\nTORONTO, July 31, 2014 /CNW/ - Seabridge Gold announced today that the\n British Columbia Environmental Assessment Office (\"BCEAO\") has advised\n Seabridge that its Application for an Environmental Assessment\n Certificate for its KSM Project has received final approval from the\n British Columbia Ministers of the Environment and Energy and Mines. The\n Ministers, in their decision, have concluded that the construction,\n operation and decommissioning of the KSM Project are not likely to\n result in significant adverse effects.\n\n\nSeabridge Gold Chairman and CEO Rudi Fronk said: \"I would like to\n acknowledge the extraordinary dedication of our personnel and the\n outstanding professionalism of the BCEAO which together have brought us\n to this successful conclusion. I would also like to thank the Nisga'a\n Nation, First Nations and local communities who participated in this\n process, for their expressions of encouragement and support as well as\n for their thoughtful input which has helped us improve our project\n design. We are confident that KSM will also be approved at the Federal\n level within the next several months.\"\n\n\n\"This decision confirms that KSM is a well-designed, environmentally\n responsible project which is technically feasible and offers\n significant economic benefits to both British Columbia and Canada. This\n decision also affirms the value of extensive public consultation early\n in the environmental assessment process which helped us to understand\n the cultural, social, environmental and economic context of the KSM\n Project.
