[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 6935R Sagentia Group PLC 05 May 2009 \n \nImmediate Release: Tuesday 5 May 2009\nSAGENTIA GROUP PLC\n('Sagentia' or the 'Group')\nSagentia disposes of Sagentia Catella AB to Intertek Semko AB \n\nSagentia, a leading international technology consulting, product development and IP licensing organisation with a reputation for successfully commercialising emerging science and technology, is pleased to announce that it\nhas sold the entire business assets of Sagentia Catella AB ('Sagentia Catella') to Intertek Semko AB ('Intertek'). \nThe disposal is in line with the Group's stated strategy to focus on growing its profitable technology consulting business and to exploit its own technology and intellectual property assets, while divesting itself of non-integral investments when the opportunity arises and to monetarise the assets where possible. \n\nSweden-based Sagentia Catella is a specialist in the testing of batteries, super capacitors and fuel cells. In addition, the company runs comprehensive consulting services. Intertek Semko, a leading international provider of quality and safety services, believes the acquisition will enable the company to build its prominence in the energy storage market. Sagentia Catella is expected to eventually relocate to Intertek Semko's facilities in Kista.\n\nDan Flicos, Acting CEO and Commercial Director at Sagentia, commented: \n\n'At the start of 2008 we stated our intention to change the strategic direction of our company, away from an integrated consulting and venturing model, towards one focused on its core consulting business.
