Mr. Harris will lead the implementation of EMC's expansion into specialty and exotic metals.Mr. Harris has served on the Company's Board of Directors since 2006 bringing a wealth of experience growing public companies. He is presently a partner of Solo Management Group, LLC, an investment and management consulting firm. During Mr. Harris' more than 30 year career he has held several prominent roles including having served as the President and CEO of Hoechst Fibers Worldwide, a company involved in the global acetate and polyester business of Hoechst AG. At Hoechst Fibers Worldwide, Mr. Harris managed the business' $5 billion operation including 21,000 employees and production facilities in 14 different countries. Within Hoechst AG and its subsidiaries, Mr. Harris held various positions which included Chairman of the Board of Grupo Celanese S.A., a publicly traded company in Mexico with sales in excess of $1 billion, Vice President - Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Executive Vice President and Director of Celanese Canada Inc., a publicly-traded company in Canada. He was also Vice President, Treasurer and Chairman of the Audit Committee of Hoechst Celanese Corporation. Mr. Harris is currently a director of Gold One International Inc., Golden Predator Royalty and Development Corp. and was previously a board member for Energy Metals Corporation as well as having served as Chairman and Executive Committee member of the American Fiber Manufacturers Association. Mr. Harris has a Bachelors of Arts in English from Harvard College and an MBA in Finance from the Columbia University Graduate School of Business.Mr. Sheriff, currently Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Company, has been appointed Interim President to replace Mr. Peter Bosse who has stepped down as President and Director in order to pursue other interests.The Company's Board of Directors has appointed a Search Committee whose mandate is to identify potential candidates for the position of Chief Executive Officer and President.
