[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n GB00B39J5N63\n\n10 August 2010\n\n Scancell Holdings Plc \n\n (`Scancell Holdings' or the `Company') \n\n Antibody Licence Agreement with Cancer Research Technology \n\nScancell Holdings Plc, (AIM:SCLP), the developer of therapeutic cancer\nvaccines, and Cancer Research Technology Ltd (`CRT') - Cancer Research UK's\ncommercialisation and development arm - today announce that they have signed an\nagreement under which Scancell has been granted a licence to use a human\nantibody known as 105AD7.\n\n105AD7 is a human monoclonal antibody that mimics the complement regulatory\nprotein, CD55. The antibody was discovered and originally developed at the\nUniversity of Nottingham with support from Cancer Research UK and has\npreviously been evaluated in clinical trials for osteosarcoma. The agreement\nwill give Scancell a worldwide licence to use 105AD7 for the development of new\nImmunoBody® vaccines for any immunotherapy indication.\n\nThe licence will be restricted to the use of the antibody as a framework for\nfuture ImmunoBody® vaccines.\n\nScancell's current ImmunoBody® vaccines, such as SCIB1, its vaccine currently\nin Phase I clinical trials for the treatment of melanoma, use a deimmunised*\nantibody as the framework. 105AD7 will allow Scancell to use a fully human\nframework for the development of future ImmunoBody® vaccines. \n\nUnder the terms of the agreement, Scancell will make an upfront payment to CRT\nin addition to development milestone payments, and royalty payments on future\nsales. Scancell will exclusively fund the development work, and have\nsub-licensing rights on agreed terms.\n\nProfessor Lindy Durrant, Chief Executive Officer of Scancell, commented:\n\n\"I am pleased that we have secured this important agreement with Cancer\nResearch Technology.
