Sarama Resources - Drilling Extends Strike Length of Mineralisation to 7.3km at the South Houndé Project in Burkina Faso

About this update from Sarama Resources Ltd.

[{"type":"text","content":"\n\nVANCOUVER, Sept. 9, 2014 /CNW/ - Sarama Resources Ltd. (\"Sarama\" or the \"Company\") is pleased to announce that a shallow, wide-spaced 8,100m air-core (\"AC\") drill program conducted at its South Houndé Project (the \"Project\") in south-western Burkina Faso has delineated another 1.8km of gold mineralisation at the Obi Prospect, bringing the total strike length of semi-continuous mineralisation to 7.3km.  \n\nThe mineralisation at the Project remains open along strike, at depth and parallel to the main structure, and contains multiple high-grade zones that have not yet been fully delineated. No extensional drilling was undertaken to the north-west of the existing mineral resource, and this area remains a high priority target. These extensional areas have the potential to add to the maiden inferred mineral resource of 1.5Moz gold1,2 which was reported in September 2013. \n\nThe length of semi-continuous mineralisation highlights the potential of the gold system and the opportunity to delineate a mineral resource of sufficient size to support future project development. The Company plans to recommence drilling at the end of the rainy season to both infill the results from this recent drill program and test extensions to known areas of mineralization.\n\nHighlights\n\n\nAir-core drilling at the Obi Prospect extends the strike length of semi-continuous mineralisation to 7.3km and further demonstrates the size potential of the gold system at the South Houndé Project.\nHighlighted intersections are oxide in nature (located in oxidized, weathered bedrock) and include:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAC1741 \n\n\n\n15.0m @ 1.61g/t Au \n\n\n\nfrom 11.0m;\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAC1710 \n\n\n\n24.0m @ 1.07g/t Au   \n\n\n\nfrom 5.0m;\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAC1728\n\n\n\n21.0m @ 1.12g/t Au    \n\n\n\nfrom 8.0m;\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAC1694 \n\n\n\n8.0m @ 1.81g/t Au     \n\n\n\nfrom 18m;\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAC1586 \n\n\n\n10.0m @1.26g/t Au    \n\n\n\nfrom 36m;\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAC1742 \n\n\n\n5.0m @ 2.46g/t Au \n\n\n\nfrom 2.0m;\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAC1597 \n\n\n\n4.0m @ 2.69g/t Au          \n\n\n\nfrom 6.0m; and\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAC1686 \n\n\n\n6.0m @ 2.16g/t Au\n\n\n\nfrom 12.0m\n\n\nNumerous oxide targets remain to be drill tested, in...
