S & U PLC 5 June 2002 Addressing shareholders at the annual general meeting of consumer credit and car finance group S&U PLC held today in Warwickshire, the chairman, Mr Derek Coombs commented: 'I said in my statement at the year end that the fortunes of this group would go from strength to strength. 'The first quarter's results are very encouraging and I see no reason to be other than optimistic about the outcome for the year as a whole'.
