SFR: TSX-V

VANCOUVER, July 27 /CNW/ - Starfire Minerals (the company) is pleased to
announce the second phase of our current work program has commenced today. As
previously announced, this program includes diamond drilling to delineate the
target zones identified by past and recent work. This phase includes a total
of 2,500 meters of diamond drilling to test the extension and depth of target
Zones No. 2 and No. 4.
Additional drilling in several potential new Uranium zones discovered
during the Company's earlier ground radiometric program will also be
undertaken.
Concurrent with the drilling program, an additional 41 kilometers of line
cutting, ground radiometrics, prospecting/rock sampling and mapping surveys
will be conducted in several newly staked areas.
The Company also announces that the analysis from Lakefield Laboratories
for the trenching and bulk sampling program conducted in June is substantially
complete. Thirty Eight (38) samples, 29 rock channel samples and 9 bulk
samples, were sent to Lakefield Research for uranium - thorium analysis to
determine the potential for substantial uranium mineralization on the Capri
Property in Quebec, Canada. In addition, a 30 element ICP was conducted by
Lakefield Laboratories.
