[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nVANCOUVER, April 18 /CNW/ - Starfire Minerals Inc. announces that it has\nstarted drilling on its Langmuir nickel prospect in Timmins, Ontario, Canada.\nDrilling is focused initially on the southern extension of the Langmuir South\nnickel zone. According to historical reports in the area the Langmuir South\nzone contains 181,400 tons of nickel-bearing rocks grading 1.5% nickel. Of\nthese, 100,000 tons is believed to occur on Starfire's property. For more\ninformation on Starfire's Langmuir property see Harron, 2005 available on\nSEDAR and on the company's website.\nDrilling is designed to verify the presence of the previously documented\nsulphide zone and to explore for potential disseminated nickel in the host\nkomatiites (ultramafic rocks). Disseminated nickel sulphide mineralization has\nbeen intersected on the Langmuir and Langmuir 2 properties immediately\nadjacent to the north by Inspiration Mining Company. Such disseminated zones\nwere not of economic interest during historical exploration and were not\npursued at that time.\nResults of this program will be reported as available.\nCompilation of historical data for all of Starfire's properties in this\nprospective nickel belt is underway with drilling to be scheduled as personnel\nand equipment permit.
