TSXV: SFR VANCOUVER, Sept. 29 /CNW/ - Starfire Minerals Inc. (TSXV: SFR) is continuing with infill sampling from its 2005 drill program on the Capri property completed in August. Starfire reports that the results from the geochemical-assays indicate the reliance on scintillometer readings to determine sample intervals proved to be unreliable. Recent assay results indicate uranium oxide (U3O8) can be present in drill core where scintillometer readings are less than 500 cps. The original sampling generally included drill core with readings of 500-cps or more. As a result 150 metres of drill core from the 1700-meter drill program was sent for assaying. The better than expected assays for these drill core samples (published in a news release Sept. 13th, 2005 see www.starfireminerals.ca) necessitated that the technical crew take addition drill core samples using geological criteria to determine sample intervals. The results of the current drill core assays are expected by the middle of Oct. 2005. The company has also requested that its geological consultants conduct a resource calculation for the Capri Property using the assay results from the received and pending drill core sampling programs. The company hopes to advance the Capri Uranium property by proving an economical resource via further diamond drilling of targets that were delineated during the $600,000 work program completed thus far on the property.
