Starfire completes first phase of drilling at Porphyry Pearl - awaits analyses

About this update from Sandfire Resources America Inc.

[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nTrading Symbol: SFR: TSX-Venture\n\n\nVANCOUVER, July 29 /CNW/ - Starfire Minerals Inc., ("the Company") is\npleased to announce that it has completed the first phase of the 2008 drilling\nprogram at the Porphyry Pearl Property in the Toodoggone District, British\nColumbia. The target is a copper-gold porphyry similar to that at Northgate's\nKemess Mine, located 59 km to the southeast of the property.\n\n\nHole PP-07-06, (azimuth 240 degrees, inclination -60 degrees) which was\nstopped in mineralized material on September 29, 2007 was deepened as planned\n(see the Company's news release of July 7, 2008). The hole was continued from\n166.12 meters to 450 meters, intersecting sulphide-mineralized stockwork\nquartz veining.\n\n\nTwo additional holes were collared from the same setup as PP-07-06. Hole\nPP-08-07 (azimuth 220 degrees, inclination -60 degrees) was drilled to a depth\nof 429 meters. It intersected sections of stockwork mineralization typical of\nalkaline porphyry deposits. Sulfides in the stockworks consist of fine grained\npyrite and very fine grained chalcopyrite. Several quartz-carbonate veins\ncontain galena, sphalerite and chalcopyrite. Molybdenite occurs on some\nfractures and in microveinlets. Flow brecciated volcanics containing 1-3%\npyrite complete the section.\n\n\nHole PP-08-08 (azimuth 265 degrees, inclination -55 degrees) was drilled\nto a depth of 450 meters. It intersected rocks similar to hole PP-07-06 with\nsome of the quartz stockwork veins containing chalcocite and chalcopyrite.\nSome veins contain up to 15% magnetite with the chalcopyrite. An intermittent\nmineralized zone containing stockwork quartz and quartz-carbonate veining was\nintersected from 300 meters to 380 meters. Chalcocite and chalcopyrite with\nmagnetite, specular hematite and pyrite occur near the bottom of the section\nin siliceous and potassic altered zones. Flow brecciated volcanics complete\nthe hole. Several core specimens were shipped to Vancouver Petrographics for\nexamination. A report is due shortly.\n\n\nThe drilling has been temporarily suspended pending analytical results.\n\n\nThis news release has been prepared under the supervision and review of\nJames Turner P.Geo., a Qualified Person as defined under NI 43-101.\n\n\nON BEHALF OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF\n\n\nSTARFIRE MINERALS INC.\n\n\n"Dan Mo...
