About this update from Sandfire Resources America Inc.

[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nTSXV: SFR\n\nVANCOUVER, April 25 /CNW/ - Starfire Minerals Inc. has demonstrated\nwidespread radioactivity, through a recent airborne survey, on its cross\nstructure property near Havre St. Pierre, Quebec, Canada. Terraquest Ltd., the\ncontractor, conducted state-of-the-art airborne radiometric, magnetometer, and\nVLF (electromagnetic or EM) surveys over the entire property prior to snow\nfall in late 2005.\nThe survey delineated multiple zones of anomalous radioactivity,\nincluding two zones in areas of previous historical exploration for uranium.\nOf particular significance for ground follow-up is the apparent correlation\nbetween broadly folded metamorphic bands, defined by a high magnetic response,\nand known areas of uranium mineralization. The folded favorable metamorphic\nrocks cover about one half of the property including much of the western half\nand the northeast corner. These anomalous belts are the zones of widespread\nstrata-controlled radioactivity but there are also numerous somewhat isolated\nzones of strong radioactivity distributed in a general northwest band across\nthe central portion of the property.\nThe possibility of a lithostratigraphic control on the occurrence of\nradioactive minerals will be assessed in the upcoming field season as part of\na conceptual geologic model that may yield targets to be evaluated as bulk\ntonnage low grade open-pit mining situations. The rapidly increasing price of\nuranium compels the evaluation of such potentially mineable zones for possible\nproduction when prices reach substantially higher levels.\nIt is emphasized that despite historical exploration that has\ndemonstrated the presence of two mineralized bands for which tonnage and grade\nwere calculated at the time the property is in the early stage of exploration.\nNo mineral resources are known to exist on the property and there can be no\nassurance that additional exploration will result in the delineation of any\nmineral resources.\nSubject to the availability of personnel and equipment field work is\nanticipated to be carried out on this project in early summer.\nFreeman Smith, P. Geo., a qualified person, and a director of the company\nhas reviewed this press release.\n\nStarfire Minerals Inc is a professionally managed exploration company;\nwhich has three wholly owned subsidiaries: Starfire Uranium In...
