First phase is completed and drilling to commence on the Capri property

TSXV: SFR

VANCOUVER, June 20 /CNW/ - Starfire Minerals Inc. announces the first
phase of the Capri uranium project in southwestern Quebec has been completed.
The four-week field program consisted of gridding, line cutting, surface
geology and prospecting, geophysical surveys, manual stripping and trenching.
Thirty two line kilometers of line cutting and ground radiometric survey
were completed on the central portion of the property. In addition to the
historic resources in the main zone drilled by the Capri Mining Company, the
first phase program was successful in identifying two additional parallel
bands and identified two new mineralized zones. Stripping and trenching has
resulted in expanding the two new zones along strike. The company is expecting
results from several bulk samples submitted for chemical assay.

David Mark, P.Geo., Senior Geophysicist reports
"The survey has revealed a number of anomalies throughout the survey
area, some highly anomalous. Most of these anomalies occur in a band that
strikes in a north-northwest direction and has a strike length of 1,800 meters
(5900 feet) long with it being open to both the north-northwest and the
south-southeast. Within this anomalous band occurs the main zone, - - - - - -"
"The writer checked this anomaly with a spectrometer and determined that
the main source of radioactivity was uranium. The remaining anomalies appear
to occur in two parallel bands, one to the east-northeast occurring within the
northeast corner of the survey area and thus with limited known strike length,
and the other to the west-southwest with a similar strike length as the main
anomalous band. Within this second band, the writer checked one of the
stronger readings with a spectrometer and also determined that the main
causative source was uranium."
Diamond drilling has been recommended for both the old zones and the new
zones as part of a second phase program that is currently underway. Both the
geology and the radiometric results over the new target areas suggest the
presence of near-surface uranium mineralization.
The property is fully permitted for an initial diamond drilling campaign.
The first hole is to be scheduled within the next two weeks.
Additional surrounding uranium mineralization not covered by the newly
established grid will also be investigated in the near future with the
objective of advancing mineralization on the property to a measured-indicated
category.

Minerals.
