The ESIA consultation process follows the technical approval of the El Domo ESIA in\n \n May 2022\n \n (see news release, dated\n \n May 31, 2022\n \n ) and is in compliance with the new environmental consultation regulation decree (the \"\n \n Decree\n \n \") that was signed by the President of\n \n Ecuador\n \n in 2023 (see news release, dated\n \n June 1, 2023\n \n ). This official information phase of the consultation process is the culmination of many months of planning by the Government Ministry of Environment (\"\n \n MAATE\n \n \" – Ministerio del Ambiente, Agua y Transición Ecológica).
