The new battery\ngreatly enhances safety with a system that is completely different from the\nmaterials used in existing lithium batteries.\n\nBK said it is confident that there will be an opportunity to change the\nparadigm of batteries that operate normally, even at temperatures ranging from\n-40°C to 70°C.\n\nAt the signing ceremony, BK Dong-yeong Tech will supply battery prototypes for\nSaean Group's production of electric vehicles and electric trucks, with Saean\nGroup vowing to meet strict quality standards in fitting them to vehicles.\n\nSaean Group is a company that designs, develops, and manufactures electrically\npowered passenger cars and special vehicles based in Nevada, and is preparing\nto produce automobiles at home and abroad.\n\nOn the other hand, BK Dong-yeong Tech is a solid secondary battery\nmanufacturer, and produces secondary batteries that do not use lithium by\nutilizing 'energy storage supercapacitor' technology. The new BK battery has\nadvantages such as fast charging speed, long life, excellent operating ability\nat extreme temperatures, and reduced fire risk.\n\nAn official from BK Dong-yeong Tech said, \"We will provide technical support\nfor the construction of a 2 gigawatt battery plant to meet the large-scale\nbattery demand of Saean Group.
