Sable Resources Ltd. - 2007 Work Program

VANCOUVER, BC, April 13 /CNW Telbec/ - Sable Resources Ltd. (TSX.V: SAE) is pleased to report that work has begun on its 2007 exploration and development program. The Company intends to follow up its successful 2006 exploration program of 28 diamond drill holes totaling 2,823 metres, with the Company's largest drill program ever - an estimated 7,000 metres. Highlights of the 2006 drilling include 0.257 ounces of gold per ton and 10.00 ounces silver per ton over 15 metres and 0.343 ounces of gold per ton and 21 ounces of silver per ton over 13.3 metres.

An initial phase of drilling will focus on the Creek Zone at the Shasta Mine. The drilling in this area will initially be used to guide underground development, and later, to expand and infill the zone along strike and at depth. Drilling will also target other known, less developed zones of mineralization at Shasta, as well as the Company's Copper-Gold Porphyry Prospect.

The second phase drilling target will be the Ridge Zone where the Company has conducted surface trenching and shallow drilling in the area of a float train of high-grade gold boulders (up to12.6 oz/t (434.5 g/t) of gold and 300 oz/t (10,344 g/t)of silver). In 2004, a three-dimensional Induced Polarization geophysics survey was completed which increased the target area and confirmed chargeability and resitivity anomalies at depths similar to the ore horizon of previously mined zones on the Baker Property.

Underground development is planned to begin in May at Shasta, where the Company will extend an existing adit approximately 100 metres in the Creek Zone, to an area of known mineralization. It is expected to be similar to the previously mined zones at Shasta, the JM and D Zones, which averaged 0.25 oz/t gold and 14 oz/t silver. The Company has purchased a jumbo drill and contracted a number of underground miners to accomplish this goal. The ore will then be trucked to the Company's fully permitted 200-ton per day mill.
