[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\n\nSeven military and government sponsors secure Route1's participation in\nannual Joint Chief-of-Staff's event\n\nTORONTO, Nov. 21 /CNW/ - Following its participation in the Initial\nPlanning Conference (IPC) for CWID 2007 (Coalition Warfighter Interoperability\nDemonstration) that took place in Virginia Beach, VA last week, Route1\nInc.(TM) (TSX-V:ROI) today announced an interoperability trial for its custom,\nmilitary-focused MobiKEY IBAD and DEFIMNET solutions. The trial will take\nplace at CWID 2007, to be held June 11-22, 2007 across multiple global sites.\nCWID is the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff's annual event enabling\nUS Combatant Commands (COCOMs) and the international community to investigate\nnew and emerging technologies, including command, control, communications,\ncomputers, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C4ISR) solutions\nthat focus on relevant and timely objectives for enhancing coalition\ninteroperability. US Joint Forces Command (USJFCOM), on behalf of the\nChairman, is responsible for the oversight of CWID. Unlike its commercial variant, DEFIMNET is aimed at operation\nwithin classified domains.\n\"The IBAD's inherent security features combined with its ease-of-use\ncould make it a great weapon in the Department of Defense's (DOD) arsenal. It\nis of equally great interest to us for Homeland Defense applications,\" said\nChris Lambert, USNORTHCOM, CWID Program Manager. \"The IBAD could provide us\nwith superior capabilities to gain strategic advantages over the enemy.\nNORTHCOM is excited to be demonstrating the IBAD's potential during CWID.\"\n\"DEFIMNET is a clear reflection of the Defense Information Systems\nAgency's (DISA) most recent move to an acquisition strategy highly focused on\na Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and pay-per-use services,\" said Jerry\nIwanski, CTO and Senior Vice President ...
