(TSX-V:ROI), an innovator in\nwireless remote computing, today announced new appointments and other changes\nto its Board of Directors to promote corporate governance and prepare for its\nmove from the TSX Venture Exchange. Ian Currie, Q.C. and Michael Doolan have\nbeen appointed to the Company's Board of Directors. Mr. Currie becomes\nChairman and Mr. Doolan will head the Audit Committee.\n\"We are pleased to have such experienced business, legal and public\ndirectorship talents join our Company's Board at this early stage of our\ndevelopment,\" said Andrew White, CEO, Route1. \"I am delighted to have Ian\nassume the role as Chairman of the Board, who brings a proven record of\ncorporate governance. Our management team also looks forward to working with\nIan and Michael to successfully execute plans and attract pronounced investor\ninterest in Route1's opportunity.\"\nMr. Currie is currently a corporate director of Jannock Properties\nLimited, a liquidating trust of land and other investments, of which he is\nChairman; Sklar Pepplar Furniture Corporation, a furniture manufacturer, of\nwhich he is Vice Chairman; Konica Minolta Canada Inc., a manufacturer of\nphotographic equipment and office products; and Care Canada, a Canadian NGO\nproviding aid in developing countries. Prior to this he was Chairman of\nJannock Limited, a manufacturer and distributor of building products; he was\nManaging Partner and Chief Executive Officer of Fraser Milner Casgrain a large\nCanadian national law firm. Mr. Currie has a BA and LLB from the University of\nToronto. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 1985.\nMr. Doolan is currently Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer of\nFalconbridge Limited, the world's third largest nickel producer. Prior to\nthis, he held senior financial positions with Noranda Inc., a leading copper\nand nickel producer; Nexfor Inc., one of Canada's largest building materials\nand specialty paper manufacturers; and DiverseyLever a division of Unilever.\nIn addition to Mr. Doolan, the Company's Audit Committee includes Stephen\nKoles, VP & General Manager, AOL, Canada and Edward Boyd, an independent\nconsultant.
