Private placement increased

VANCOUVER, Aug. 29 /CNW/ - Ross River Minerals Inc. (TSX-V: RRM) (the
"Company") announces that it has increased its previously announced        
non-brokered private placement (see press release dated August 19, 2005) from
6,000,000 to 6,400,000 units for total gross proceeds of $1,600,000. The terms
and conditions of the placement remain the same.
This private placement is subject to acceptance for filing by the TSX
Venture Exchange.
