Exploration update for El Pulpo

VANCOUVER, April 15 /CNW/ - Ross River Minerals Inc. (TSX-V: RRM) (the
"Company") is pleased to report that the initial 2005 exploration program,
conducted through its wholly owned Mexican subsidiary Minera Rio Ross S.A de
C.V. is progressing well. The Company is focusing on extending the soil
geochemistry coverage east of the Cerro Colorado and La Langosta copper-gold
porphyry targets covering the Cetolla and Jocquistes copper-gold porphyry
targets and exploring the intervening terrain east of the 2004 grid lines. On
the eastern edge of the 2004 grid, soil samples are anomalous in molybdenum
(greater than 15ppm Mo), copper (greater than 500ppm Cu) and silver (greater
than 1,000ppb Ag). Currently over eighty percent of the soil sample and
geophysics grid has been cut (80 line-kilometres) and a total of 1,625 soil
samples have been shipped for analyses.
Induced polarization geophysics commenced this week west of the 2004
grid. The I.P. survey has encountered chargeability anomalies of 10 to 30
milliseconds in the vicinity of Vado Hondo at N(equal sign)3 to 6 (N(equal
sign)6 is to approximately 150 metres depth) over 200 metres and 400 metres in
length, connecting at depth. These geophysical anomalies tie into the
anomalous area observed at the western edge of the 2004 survey grid and from
which rock samples were taken with values ranging from 0.02 g/t to 7.58 g/t
gold, 1 g/t to 260 g/t silver and 0.02% to 3.29% copper.
Geologic mapping is being carried out in Cerro Colorado to provide
additional information for targeting diamond drilling scheduled to commence
following the completion of this field work. Prospecting and mapping is also
being carried out in the eastern extension of the grid. To date a total of
156 rock samples have been collected for analyses. The 2005 exploration
program is being carried out under the direction of Jim Reeves P.Geo.
