Drilling commences on El Pulpo

VANCOUVER, Oct. 12 /CNW/ - Ross River Minerals Inc. (TSX-V: RRM) (the
"Company") is pleased to announce it has commenced drilling on its El Pulpo
property located in Sinaloa State, Mexico. The first phase will concentrate on
the Cerro Colorado porphyry copper target. Kennecott Exploration is providing
technical assistance to the drill program (see press release dated October 6,
2005). Results will be announced when available.
