[{"type":"text","content":"\n Rockhopper Exploration plc\n06 June 2006\n\n\nPRESS RELEASE\nFor immediate release: 6 June, 2006\nRockhopper Exploration plc\n\n\n Preliminary Results for the Year ended 31 March 2006\n\n\nRockhopper Exploration plc ('Rockhopper' or 'the Company'), the oil and gas\nexploration company focussed on the North Falkland Basin, which listed on AIM in\nAugust 2005, has today announced its preliminary results for the year ended 31\nMarch 2006.\n\nHighlights:\n\n- Successful placing and listing on AIM\n- 2D seismic survey completed\n- Electromagnetic surveys completed\n- 3D seismic survey commissioned\n- Cash at bank 31 March 2006 of £12.5 million\n- Pre tax loss of £0.354 million\n\nExecutive Chairman, Dr. Pierre Jungels commented:\n\n'We completed a successful listing on AIM in August 2005 raising £15 million\nbefore expenses to undertake work on all of our licence areas.\n\nA 2D programme has been completed on licences PL023 and PL024 and a 3D vessel is\nnow secured for licences PL032 and PL033. CGG, one of the world's leading marine\nseismic contractors, will undertake the survey.\n\nWe have also completed two Controlled Source Electromagnetic surveys in order to\ngive ourselves greater confidence in the prospects over which they were\nacquired. These licences have been\ngranted by the Falkland Islands government.\n\nSince listing on AIM in August 2005 Rockhopper has undertaken a 2D seismic\nsurvey, a controlled source electro magnetic imaging survey and commissioned a\n3D survey to be undertaken in late 2006.\n\n\nChairman's ...
