[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 9255V Rockhopper Exploration plc 19 December 2013 \n \n\nEmbargoed: 0700hrs 19 December 2013\n \n \nRockhopper Exploration plc\n(\"Rockhopper\" or the \"Company\")\nInterim Results for the Six Months Ended 30 September 2013\n \nRockhopper Exploration plc (AIM: RKH), the North Falkland Basin oil and gas exploration company, is pleased to announce interim results for the six months ended 30 September 2013. \nHighlights:\n· Progress on concept selection for Sea Lion development \n· Identification of prospects for exploration programme in North Falkland Basin in late 2014/early 2015\n \nPost period:\n· Farm-in to Desire's acreage subject to sign off by the Governor of the Falkland Islands\n· Agreement in principle on Capital Gains Tax liability with Falkland Islands Government\n \nDr. Pierre Jungels, Chairman of Rockhopper, commented:\n\"The recent farm in to some of Desire Petroleum plc's acreage will give added impetus to our exploration plans. The development of the Sea Lion field continues apace and the imminent conclusion of the feasibility work around the tension leg platform solution means that we will soon be in a position to compare it to the work already done on the FPSO alternative and decide on the preferred concept. On the capital gains tax liability, we have agreed in principle with the Falkland Islands Government (\"FIG\") as to the total liability on the basis that the tax due on the non cash element of the consideration is to be paid at the same time as the first royalty from Sea Lion.
